Fitted Furniture
Off-the-shelf furniture is built for an average room — and no home in Frome is average. Alcoves lean, walls wander, and ceilings in older Somerset houses rarely agree with a spirit level. That's exactly where fitted furniture earns its keep.
At EC Timber Craft, we design and build fitted furniture around your space, not the other way round. Every unit is measured on site, made in our workshop, and installed by the same hands that built it — so nothing is lost between the drawing and the finished piece.
What we make.
Alcove cabinets and shelving, fitted wardrobes, bookcases and library walls, media units, window seats, under-stairs storage and one-off commissions. Painted, natural hardwood, or a mix of both — designed to suit your home, whether that's a Victorian terrace, a listed cottage or a modern build.
How it Works
It starts with a conversation and a site visit. We'll measure up, talk through how you actually use the space, and follow up with a clear design and a written quote — no obligation, no hard sell. Once you're happy, your piece is built in the workshop and installed cleanly and carefully, usually in a day or two.
Fitted furniture is an investment in your home: it uses every inch of awkward space, it's built to last decades rather than years, and it adds real value when done well.
